Trauma can be very isolating. Contact with peers, people who have gone through similar experiences and/or struggle with the same challenges, can offer a lot of support.
There are various organizations and initiatives that offer a form of peer support regarding trauma. We collect them on this page.
Academy for Recovery and Experiential Expertise
Offers peer support through a forum and activities for adult victims of child abuse.
Anxiety Phobia Therapy Network
A network for therapy and coaching for anxiety, as well as for other complaints such as stress, burnout, depression, and trauma. The website features a forum for peers with PTSD.
Depression Association
National Depression Association by and for people with depression and their loved ones.

Sexual Violence Survivors Network
Peer support platform for women and men in the Netherlands and Flanders who have been victims of sexual violence of abuse.
Peer volunteers offer support to people who domestic and/or sexual violence have experienced.
MIND Atlas self-direction/recovery initiatives
Independent social organization for a mentally healthier Netherlands. Offers an atlas of organizations for self-help and recovery, among others; select under filter by: type of organization: Self-direction and recovery centers and/or Self-help & Support Groups.
Project Speak Now
The goal of Project Speak Now is to make it more open for discussion sexual abuse en sexual violence, to break existing taboos and aid in the healing process. Among other things, they offer support groups (called Talking Circles) for peers.
Safe
The SAFE website is specifically for women in unsafe relationships. SAFE has a forum where women can (anonymously) partner violence (have) experienced being able to talk to each other.
After a traumatic event, such as a crime, traffic accident, or disappearance, you can always turn to Victim Support Netherlands. They offer emotional support, guide you through the criminal justice process, and help you with your compensation. Ask your question by phone, email, chat, or social media.
