DIS material is me

From February 2022 to June 2023, the online project DIS is me took place. In this project, people with DID collected the anonymous experiences of more than a hundred people with DID/OSDD and their loved ones. Following the active project phase, the collected material was housed here at Traumanet, ensuring that all valuable experiences remain permanently available as a source of information, support, and (re)cognition.

The material from DIS is being added to the new Traumanet platform soon!

Dissociative identity disorder (DID) and other specified dissociative disorder (OSDD, type 1) are mental health conditions that can result from early childhood trauma. They can profoundly impact daily life and make connection with yourself and others difficult.

The experiences of people with AGDS, which involves a feeling of division in the personality, largely correspond to those of people with DID.

From February 2022 to June 2023, the online project took place This is me place. Here, people with DID collected the anonymous experiences of more than one hundred people with DID/OSDD and their loved ones. These experiences have been compiled into a digital publication and a physical book (2024), with the aim of raising awareness about (living with) DID/OSDD. The second goal of the material is for people with DID/OSDD and loved ones to feel more seen, heard, and recognized, and to feel less alone.

Following the active project phase, the collected material was housed here at Traumanet, so that all valuable experiences remain permanently available as a source of information, support, and (re)recognition.

The digital material of This is me can be used free of charge and is deployed for education based on lived experience, psycho-education in treatments, and (further/post-graduate) training of professionals. The physical book is also available and (soon) can be ordered via the webshop of My name is haas.
